I just want you to know for a fact that I will gladly sit on the sidelines and do nothing to help you fight against antisemitism until you and your ilk stop defaming atheists by calling us “cultural Christians”. You don’t get to invalidate our identities and lived experiences and then turn around and demand we stick our necks out for you. I don’t care if Nazis kill you and your family. You clearly don’t care about us!!! Why should we care about you???

I normally don’t even respond to these.

So I’m not gonna.

But! For a nice change they did it under their name, so one for the blocklist y’all!

I kinda want to hold a cage match between this guy and Oxford Comma. One Culturally Christian anti-theist, one Culturally Jewish anti-theist, both of them equally egocentric and cruel, and see what happens.

It’s really not okay to appropriate transfem language if you’re not transfem. There’s plenty of modern language you can use, you don’t have to steal terms that aren’t yours

spacelazarwolf:

see this tells me you know nothing abt the term femminiello bc it’s not “transfem language.” it’s a word used to describe a third gender role in neapolitan culture, a culture i have direct familial ties to. it does not fall directly under the umbrella of trans, though there is definitely overlap. it can be used to describe feminine gay men, trans women and trans feminine people, or nonbinary and/or gnc people. and wouldn’t ya know it, i’m the first and third things! and like i said, ppl who were afab don’t have a lot of historical language available to us, so if we find a term that describes our experience well and the only thing off is our birth assignment, then who the fuck cares??

and like. this is why i have complex feelings about terms like femminiello or the 6 sexes in the talmud becoming more common knowledge, bc people who don’t actually understand the cultural context of them, usually racially and culturally white people, are now starting to police the people from these cultures who use them in the actual cultural context, bc of their own eurocentric surface level understanding of them.

so yeah perhaps if you don’t actually understand the history and culture behind a term, you shouldn’t be chiding those who do.

if your leftism doesn’t include fighting antisemitism then I’m really not interested in your leftism

I can feel the leftist goyim trying their best not to look at this or think about it. I see you. I see how easily y'all accept antisemitism when it’s against people you don’t like, and it pisses me the fuck off.

Hoo boy, the way both TBIs and my extreme depressive states both caused memory loss and explosive anger really makes me wonder if we’re going to learn that long-term trauma causes injury to the brain. I don’t know enough about neuroscience to know if it’s a founded theory, but—yikes, maybe that’s why my overstimulation issues got worse after college.

doberbutts:

Hey guess what it’s accepted theory, long term trauma does indeed cause physical, marked, visible-on-MRIs brain damage.

Hmm weird it’s almost like when I say “physical disability within the brain and mental disability within the brain are not as easily separated as one might think” it’s because mental disability is often either caused by or directly causes physical damage to the brain and thus there is really no sharp divide between brain and body. Your brain is an organ inside of your body, it can get hurt and be sick just like any other organ inside of you. Only difference is that it’s what’s piloting the meatsuit.

I feel like so much slur discourse could get solved by discussing intent. “I’m okay with faggot but don’t like when someone yells it out a car at me.” Yeah no shit. I like physical touch in the form of a hug but don’t like it when it is in the form of a punch. People have said the word “gay” “lesbian” “trans” what have you with the most hateful vitriol they can muster because they MEAN it like a slur. So many of us have heard the tone that may as well make the word a slur.

If I saw a sign that says “I hunt members of the LGBTQIA+ community for sport” it wouldn’t really feel different from “I want to kill faggots.”

Additionally, I LIKE that it makes people cringe. It used to make me cringe. Those words have history for me too. But they also are not able to be sanitized by corporations. Shitlibs who would never rock the boat to protect me are never going to NOT shrink away at me calling myself a dyke and I do not care.

MY intent IS vitriol back, sometimes. A bold statement of attack. But sometimes it’s a joke. “His faggy mannerisms have captivated me.” Sometimes it’s a badge of honor from older queers. Sometimes it’s not that deep. What’s behind the words, what the intent is is everything.

Hey I have good news for everyone.

Cringe culture literally does not exist outside of the internet.

I take my Minecraft backpack to college and I get tons of compliments on it. My boss’s son plays Minecraft and he’s elated to have a “resident Minecraft expert.”

Lots of things that fall under “cringe” are very dear to me and my friends. Good people recognize and celebrate that passion, no matter what it’s for.

cringe culture exists online and in high school, that’s literally it

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.

Literally one time I was on an airplane and this 50 year old dude noticed my pokeball phone charger and it turned out he was a big pokemon fan who used to work on card development and gave me a rare pack of German misprinted pokemon cards because he was flying to visit a pokemon merch unwrapping youtuber channel so being public with your interests can be good actually
